Material-Specific Specifications
Standard Vinyl
The minimum application temperature for this product is 50 degrees F, so ensure that the sticker and car is no colder than that when you go to apply it.
The material requires a dry application, so do not use any water/soap/application liquid with it.
GlassApeel
This can be applied in most weather temperatures.
The material requires a wet application, but only use water, no chemicals.
Spray water on the back of the decal and the application surface before application, then squeegee from the center to the edge to force air/water bubbles out and apply.
This material is repositionable - remove, clean with water if needed, and reapply.
General Installation Best Practices
We recommend cleaning the area prior to installation with soap or rubbing alcohol and water. Cleaning products may leave a residue behind that will prevent the sticker from adhering fully.
To reduce the chance of bubbles, install cut vinyl or large stickers using the hinge method. Video example included below.
For this method, you’ll place the sticker on the area where you want it to be (with the backing still on it).
Then use masking tape (or any low tack tape) on the center of the sticker to hold it in place (this is your “hinge”).
On one side of the hinge, peel the backer away and cut it off.
Then use a felt squeegee (or similar item) to press the sticker on the masking tape hinge and slowly out to the edge of the sticker.
When that side is done, you’ll remove the rest of the backer and squeegee the other side down, again, going out from that hinge.
